London landmark building achieves outstanding BREEAM rating with Megaflo Solar
7 More London is the capital’s first building to be awarded the highest green rating utlising a total of 20 Megaflo Solars - selected to provide the domestic hot water throughout the premises. The solar powered domestic hot water system from Heatrae Sadia has been installed on London’s latest landmark buildings.
Situated on the banks of the River Thames, next to Tower Bridge, due to its design and equipment specification 7 More London is the first building in London and only the third in the UK to be awarded an Outstanding BREEAM rating.
Simon Russell, head of specification for Heatrae Sadia, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have our products installed as part of this environmentally conscious, world class building. Megaflo Solar was selected due to its outstanding performance when compared with other similar products on the market, particularly in relation to its ease of installation, energy efficiency, lower running costs and reduced carbon emissions.”
Heatrae Sadia’s Megaflo Solar was specified by building services consultants Roger Preston & Partners and the installation was carried out by contractors Michael J Lonsdale of London.
