Located on 21 acres, the 265,000-s.f. IKEA West Sacramento opened March 2006 and employs approximately 250 coworkers. IKEA has now plugged-in the Sacramento store's solar energy 573-kW system with a 65,000-square-foot array built with approximately 2,548 panels. Located on 6.4 acres along I-5 on San Fernando Boulevard, the 242,000 SF IKEA Burbank opened in November 1990 and employs approximately 350 coworkers. In addition to 10,000 exclusively designed items, IKEA Burbank presents 33 different room-settings, three model home interiors, a supervised children’s play area, and a 200-seat restaurant.
