Prime Sun Power Inc. has announced its plan to develop, build and operate 500 Megawatts photovoltaic solar power generation through the end of 2013 out of which 150 megawatts is expected to be acquired by third party investors. The SBHS (Scottish Biomass Heat Scheme), unveiled by Jim Mather, Minister for Enterprise, Energy and Tourism, will give grants of up to 40 per cent of project costs, capped at £100,000. The funding is open to small and medium-sized businesses to install renewable energy heating systems.
SMEs in England and Scotland can also borrow £5,000 to £200,000 interest-free for the installation of renewable energy or energy efficient plant – such as wind turbines, Solar PV and Biomass.
