People can, depending on their circumstances, usually generate a significant amount of their own electricity from solar panels and can, therefore, protect themselves from fuel prices and any future electricity price rises. Rates on savings accounts of circa 3% or even 7% on long-term ISAs can be dwarfed by the tax-free 10% to 15% returns per year for savers that install solar panels in their homes.
Rebekka Johnson, a spokeswoman for Harnessun, said: “Householders with solar panels get much ch... [more]
Eddie Whitfield, a Spalding farmer, is generating much of the energy needed for its own operations but also generates income from the government’s Feed in Tariff scheme. Eddie was so pleased with the installation that he then asked Lark Energy to install a further 57 panels taking the total installation size to 63kWp.
The PV installation was designed and installed by Bourne-based Lark Energy, part of the Larkfleet Group. The company initially installed 216 individual panels on a roof that the... [more]
Lark Energy has installed a total of 810 photovoltaic (PV) panels on the roof of HPC Healthline’s national distribution centre in Bourne. The project is approximately 90 times larger than the average domestic rooftop installation but won’t cost the building owners a penny, as the 186.3 kWp PV system was funded by Low Carbon Investors and the Downing Low Carbon Enterprise Investment Scheme Fund.
Lark Energy and HPC Healthline UK Ltd have collaborated on this project, one of the East Midland’s ... [more]
